Côte d’Ivoire: Des bus articulés électriques bientôt en circulation entre Yopougon et Bingerville

Une ligne Est-ouest de bus rapides de transit de 20 km, équipés de bus articulés électriques, seront, bientôt, en circulation entre entre Yopougon et Bingerville, a annoncé mercredi, le porte parole du gouvernement, Sidi Touré, à l’issue du conseil des ministres.

Ce projet d’envergure, d’un montant de 59,3 milliards de francs CFA, vise à améliorer l’offre de transport collectif, a indiqué, M. Touré, le ministre de la Communication et des Médias, lors de sa conférence de presse au Palais des pas perdus.

Cette initiative majeure comprend également la restructuration et le renforcement des lignes de la Société de transports abidjanais (SOTRA) et la professionnalisation du transport artisanal pour améliorer la qualité du service.

Sa réalisation s’inscrit dans le cadre du projet de mobilité urbaine d’Abidjan. Elle est rendue possible, grâce à un décret portant ratification d’une convention de crédit conclu le 28 mai entre l’Agence française de développement (AFD) et la Côte d’Ivoire.
